“New York City. Center of the Universe.” These musical lyrics may not be factual, but when you are in New York City, you might just believe them. New York City is a beautiful city full of many different people and different sites to see. You can enjoy the mixture of different sites, sounds, smells and tastes that the city has to offer. In fact, you probably won’t have enough time to see nearly all of the stuff you will want to see. To help you decide what you should see/do, here’s a list of three great ideas.

  1. Go Sight Seeing
    First, you’ve got to be the cliche tourist and see all the sites. There are many typical sites that have to be seen at least once. The live in New Yorkers may roll and eye to this, but if you haven’t been to the city before or haven’t been to these spot before, you deserve to go at least once. The spot can include the Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, Time Square, and Central Park.
  2. Eat Delicious Treats
    Of course, there are also wonderful things to eat in New York and not just see. New York City is full of great and delicious food that you have to enjoy. Since the city is full of different cultural heritages, there are also different types of food to enjoy. You can have Latin food one night and enjoy Asian cuisine the next. Plus, there are festive treats to enjoy such as doughnut ice cream sandwiches or a hundred dollar ice cream sundae.
  3. See A Musical
    In addition, it would be great if you took the time to return to Time square and go see a musical. A rock n roll musical is a great idea for a way to spend the day. In fact, some people head to New York City just for that alone. There are shows out there that celebrate musical greats like Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, The Supremes, The Jackson 5, and more.
